Wednesday - Is 45,6-8.18.21-25 Ps 84 Luke 7.19-23: Tell John what you saw and heard.

I am the Lord your God

In the passage we is proposed in the celebration today it seems that God wants to tell his true identity. He alone is God and there are others. I think our attention and help to stop reflection on some statements that reveal his divinity. He presents himself as the creator of all things. He created the earth "is not a waste but because it was inhabited," and he was raised a hymn of praise. I am just God and Saviour: the only salvation comes from Him "Before Him every knee" and appear before him, full of shame, not many have accepted it as their savior. But this song contains the strong plea that the liturgy applies to your Christmas season: "Shower, O heavens, from above, and the clouds rain Facciani justice (the right), let the earth open and salvation (the Savior) and shoots with justice (the right). "And so we come in the great plan of God, the plan of salvation of man . It is from this land, from the mud of this wonderful world, this cosmos that we will never discover, the Savior comes to us, made man from the womb of the Virgin Mary, a gift of heaven to humanity disoriented, best fruit of the earth, sprout from the root of David. The word of God tends to convince us of the full dependence on him. We are not the creators, but he is so loving obedience to his commands, acceptance to what he allows in our lives as the events that concern us more or less closely. However, given the sick and rebellious roots of our humanity, which tends to proclaim their freedom, shouting "Non Serviam," I will not serve, that's God sends his beloved Son in the crib that becomes the model of obedience and humility. Heaven forbid that the sight of this prodigious child to call you back to the worship of one true God the Father, deliver us from the many idols that you build from that self-sufficiency and that tends to deify the man and kill the faith in him. Journal "A Sua Immagine" - comment by Msgr. Francesco Ruppi
John's disciples Baptist heard that Jesus of Nazareth speaks to the crowd and performed many miracles, go to question, "Are you the one who should come or look we for another?". Jesus does not answer the question directly, but refers to the words of Isaiah: "Go and tell John the Baptist that the blind see, the lame walk, the mute to hear, the dead rise," and then proclaim a word that must never forget, "the poor have good news preached ', thus confirming the prophecy of Isaiah, who prophesied the time of the Messiah. To get the good news that God is our father and we are all children of God, we must accept the Gospel of Christ, but we must also remember that Christmas is not just a commemoration of the birth of the Savior, but the renewal of the birth and the beginning of our salvation. We recall the final word in today's Gospel: "Blessed is he who takes no offense to me,"
