Atreyu-Lead Sails Paper Anchor

Perhaps, before making any talk about this album, it would be better to make a statement clear and explicit: this album is not metalcore.
been almost 10 years since the quintet OC began to take its first steps, contributing heavily to create the modern metalcore sound and now it seems that this label them a bit 'close to Brandon, Alex and his associates. Even the short distance from their previous record release, seems to bear witness to the desire to go further and leave the past behind, without completely denying it. In addition to the undeniable sound evolution, it is glaringly obvious that even Alex Varkatzas has almost completely abandoned the screams safe choice that will arouse controversy, perhaps by the very people who were horrified years ago before his growl almost atypical.
The disc opens with Doomsday ideal link with the foregoing fact, characterized by a very metal attack that results in a perfect chorus of big jack and the same can be said of Honor .
Now, sit down, because Falling Down is really a low blow. Damn catchy and pop in the middle with a solo that comes straight from the 80s, even with the trumpets in the background. Not exactly what we expected from Atreyu, but hell, if this track does not give them the same fame of My Chemical Romance and the like, there will be crying foul.
Following the single, Becoming The Bull, other combination of pop-metal really hard not to hum. And what about Lose It piece almost nu-metal with inclusion of vocals that seem to come from your head down Morricone?? If nothing else Two Become One us back on areas most well known thanks to his more hardcore groove filled by continuous assolini.
Personally, I think Can not Happen Here the song more interesting with heavy breakdowns and some minor electronic transition, while Slow Burn is another surprise that just do not expect, that a mid-tempo style Millencolin, for Not to mention Blow , striking example of 80's cock-rock that would make the joy of the Motley Crue.
The transformation has begun but not completed, because I think this album would serve to Atreyu to convince their audiences (and autoconvincersi ...) to be a band at 360 °, without any particular limitations. The fact remains, however, that the lack of a unique direction and a well-defined sound makes this disc less than album as The Curse or Suicide Notes And Butterfly Kisses .
Surely, if all goes well, will become very popular ... but, after all, they deserve it.

As I Lay Dying-An Ocean Between Us

A warm welcome back to these horses thrash / metalcore! ! Two years of waiting around for one that is affected a band of more concrete, on which the blind spot. Meanwhile there have been constant touring (by the way, we hope for a miracle because seeing them together, the All That Remains and Maroon would be a blow ninety!) And Tim has been working on his fledgling label. Now, here they are, heavy, angry and precise as ever. More and more appropriately thrash (do not say that they are clones of the bands of the past, are the bands of the past, taken from the Slayer not guessed that more than one) with melodic simply perfect.
After the intro, which is part of a triple punch to the stomach: Nothing Left, An Ocean Between Us and powerful Within Distruction (at least 4 minutes of insane headbanging sure!).
Forsaken begins slowly and then grow more and more with a groove that can not be more mosh, seasoned with a really good chorus and the same goes for Comfort Betrays where the double pedal to be a thousand.
speech apart for I Never Wanted which opens with every intention to sound like a metal ballad, only to be an interesting cross between powerful riffs, melodic vocals and growling, just a little 'quiet' before 'assault Bury Us All that goes straight and fast like a train and so much more precise solo thrash.
If you think you've heard the best of this album think again, because The Sound Of Truth is applause! In this circumstance seems to see a merger between the As I Lay Dying All That Remains and above, which shows off their technical and creative needless to say, the desire to hear them live is increasing exponentially! Small
Pausini with Departed and then made part of the final assault by Wrath Upon Ourselves , which makes us understand how the band has gained in terms of replacing the melodic bass player, and finally This Is Who We Are : last clear message for us to understand what they are made of the As I Lay Dying.
fifty minutes that tiratissimi leave their mark and now, in fact the hard hitting and passionate from the first listen, while providing very heavy and uncompromising steps. The critics and the public are already praising An Ocean Between Us and although there are not many four months to the end of the year, pending the response of other large pieces of metal, I work this imbalance and crowned album of the year ... without hesitation.

Price For Jarro Viejo Tequila

DOSSIER METAL HAIR

Actually, there are months when I do this file or not. I finally convinced him to give space to what can be rightly described as the son of the most controversial metal: the glam metal. This subgenre was born in the 80's and most of the decade will make mess of the U.S. sales charts, with results that failed to achieve even the most renowned stage classic metal like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest or Black Sabbath veterans. Beyond the invasion of dance / pop, the 80 will be remembered for the rise of a series of bands peasant, ignorant of the excesses and truccatissime lovers, with masses of abnormal hair.
The amazing thing is the fact the hair metal that has managed to be everything and its opposite. The early success was seen as a kind of revenge for an undervalued genre finally managed to get the attention due and without giving up his healthy dose of rebellion and nonconformity. That members of these bands, which in principle were living on the margins of society and the edge of homelessness, they expressed a strong distaste for what was a lifestyle, a characteristic Reagan era, it was more than legitimate and normal. What is perplexing, however, is the following: that is, as these bands are in fact become an icon of America 80 years ... none other than the glorification of excess and dell'autocelebrazione.
made even more the bastard subgenre thought the image, as mentioned before. The weight of the riffs and virtuoso typical metal was swept away by the look and aesthetics. Never before had the big metal guys who were doing the drooling fans!
So if you add into the cauldron: the excesses, look, major unscrupulous, MTV and its perennial search for new phenomena, you will in a short time the birth, rise and death of hair metal in a cloud of hairspray and powder cocaine.

And now here comes the band ...

Motley Crue
Ladies and gentlemen, here are the Motley Crue, Lords of hair metal, glam metal, or the sleazy metal ... as you like! In fact the band formed in late 70's all these components work closely together.
Their career began with the album Too Fast For Love that allows them to earn a contract with Elektra Records and grow its reputation in that of Los Angeles. The four are easily recognizable by the masses of hair, heavy makeup and way of life extremely hedonistic and dick. Motley Crue 83 87 shove a devastating hat-trick made by Shout At The Devil, Theatre Of Pain and Girls, Girls, Girls . Some 87 years but is fatal for the band, Vince Neil at the wheel drunk is going to crash and lost his life in the accident Razzle of Hanoi Rocks tipping the head of Vince charge of manslaughter and Nikki is also the worst brush with death with an overdose death remedied with a double dose of adrenaline to the heart. This episode inspired the famous Kickstart My Heart contained in the famous album Dr. Feelgood . The arrival of the 90 leads the sunset of hair metal and progressive loss of reputation for the band that he consoles himself with weddings celebrated with Playboy bunnies. Today, Motley Crue are a band still in operation that focuses in proposing the true rock show that made them famous now about twenty years ago.

Quiet Riot
Founded in 1975 by Randy Rhoads and Kelly Garni their early days are not memorable, especially at home, and lead to the premature dissolution of the band. The randomness and the tragic fate (death in a plane crash Rhoads) brings some attention to the works mentioned above. Attention increased exponentially with the publication of the historic album Metal Health . This work establishes for the first time in the history entry at the top of U.S. chart a metal album and marks the beginning of the ascent stage of the hair / glam metal. The story of Quiet Riot is bound in glove with the story of Ozzy Osbourne, for example the historic band's drummer, Frankie Banali, Ozzy's band was previously, as well as the late Rhoads. To tell the truth the moment of greatest popularity of the band came with a cover of Slade: Cum Feel The Noise . In the work of 84 the band tried again to repeat the success of Metal Health , proposing another cover, but the results were lower. However in 85 Quiet Riot alongside the legends of metal as Ronnie James Dio, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest in the famous benefit concert Hear'n'Aid. The search continues
of success led the band to bog down to hunt the historic singer Kevin Du Brow: the result was a fiasco. After the turmoil of early 1990, the band has continued to live until today. It is dated October 2006 the band's latest album Rehab , with the voice and Banali Du Brow on drums.

Twisted Sister
simply the ugliest. But not an ugly town, something amazing. Aesthetics aside, their birth dates back to 1973, but it took the entrance in the line up because of Dee Snider, the band began to secure a following in the New York scene. Unfortunately, however, the band had a record deal and then had to self-produce. Among other problems and shaky formations must resort to 1982 to have a debut album with a record company, however, English. The album contains songs such as What You Do not Know , Run For Your Life and Tear It Loose . The band is noted by Atlantic Records, which produces the album You Can not Stop Rock'n'Roll projecting rock band of Olympus. The image of the group, meanwhile, has evolved from something more glam horror and scary. No need to say the history of Twisted Sister binds strongly to the piece We're Not Gonna Take It , song and video that gives the world-renowned and offer no end of trouble. The song became the scapegoat and symbol of 'intolerance of the ultra-conservative parents' associations and the American Republican Party. Dee Snider is personally committed to fight the bizarre crusade carried out by people who demonized rock in general. The battle ended with the appearance on CD covers of the infamous logo: Explicit Lyrics-Parental Advice, written yesterday, today, that serves as a deterrent, as a further incentive to buy the album by the boys. From '87 onwards, the band faced an unsuccessful record the following year Dee Snider left the band soon broke up.
In 2003 the band reunited for good.

Def Leppard
The band was founded in Sheffield in 1977 and the curiously old singer Joe Elliot, the hearings, was discarded as a guitarist but taken at a later time as a singer. Their debut at home was not greeted with great enthusiasm, as the band much winking to the Americans that the United Kingdom, and proof of this, was much more often on tour overseas. In '81 the band was noticed by Robert "Mutt" Lange, producer of the historic AC / DC, which increases the potential of the band that breaks on MTV in '82: This is the first metal video music channel to go on. The release of Pyro mania brought some unexpected consequences: the album was confronted in an incredible head to head with of Thriller Michael Jackson in terms of sales.
Def Leppard were revered even more sacred cows of the Rolling Stones or AC / DC, but the bad luck was just around the corner: 84 drummer Rick Allen in a car accident loses an arm, but can he at the same pursue his musical career with a custom set. The triumph is dated 1986 in Donnington, where the audience gave him a resounding ovation at Rick tough. And yet the 87 is to be recorded in the annals with the album Hysteria exploding with the single Pour Some Sugar On Me . With 90 years of record activity Def Leppard is made of lesser intensity but always successful, so as to come straight in the Walk Of Fame rock.
They, too, today, are in full swing.

Poison
Born in 1983, the band is strongly influenced by the climate being created around the metal scene. Indeed born just like hair metal band and stage career that reaches the rise of grunge is characterized by all the components that characterize the hair metal. They also stand out for a look that excessive intake of great rock songs including the infamous power ballad, fortune and ruin such as Something To Believe In . With the first two albums and hits like Talk Dirty To Me or Nothin ' But A Good Time , selling over 10 million copies and ended up in the celebrated documentary The Decline Of Western Civilization II. Although the success grows, many are pointing the finger at the band's Brett Michaels, regarded as a fake band and unable to play. We expect the revolution to resize the grunge phenomenon and the band continued litigation intestine, culminating in the fistfight between Michaels and guitarist Deville at the MTV VMA's 91. Despite all the band goes on and leaves too much style, choosing the critically acclaimed, but not by the public. Even here, unfortunately, in 95 you put the bad luck: Michaels is the victim of a serious accident which seriously injured. The last chapter of
band that has received approval is dated 2000, Crack A Smile ... and more!. Meanwhile, the forthcoming record should be a cover album.

There is still a lot to say and then I just mention albums and bands that have given meaning al'hair
metal-WASP-namesake
-Dokken-Tooth And Nail
-Europe-namesake and Wings Of Tomorrow
-Bon Jovi-Slippery When Wet (with devastating You Give Love A Bad Name , Livin 'On A Prayer and Wanted Dead Or Alive )
-well and put the album Kiss and Whitesnake at that time.
The advice for those approaching this kind tempter is: MANGEGGIARE WITH EXTREME CAUTION!
