What Does Ped Mean On Engine

THE BEST AND WORST OF 2007

Before closing this workshop for 2007, do a little 'summary of the last year and let's make some assumptions about 2008 ...

3 Inches Of Blood- do not really know how many people the caghino 3IOB in Italy and I do not give anything, because I have published an excellent album. Accurate, powerful, thrash, absurd, and so on and so forth ... well recommended by Rob Halford of Judas Priest ... do vobis.

As I Lay Dying- this year they win the prize for "Best Album of the Year" and perhaps even better as a band ... each album is better than the other and pulls out a technique now monstrous. We hope to see loads and pissed off in early April. Thumbs up!

Atreyu- the album certainly marks a step back, there's no doubt about this. They are always the same ... good musicians, nice people and down to earth ... this, especially for those who turn up their nose when they signed up for the majors.

Avenged Sevenfold- if they wanted to broaden their fan base further, the last album is perfect. But is ideal to attract even more antipathy and hatred ... because, really, or A7X's either love or hate. In the meantime, they put in stock in a thousand other dates around America and will be headlining the Taste of Chaos with Atreyu and Bullet For My Valentine.

Between The Buried And Me- I have not brought their latest album Colors, reviewed by several parties in a more than enthusiastic ... they sound quite progressive, will my case? ? Surely, they are on the rise.

Black Dahlia Murder- their album has Noctural made a miracle or has left apathetic ... judge for yourself. Certainly one can not but recognize that violence as a sound to be truly remarkable.

Caliban- let's be honest: it was reasonable to expect something more. Mediocre album and at the same time live are losing enamel. And if they try to stuff some other musical influence their metalcore??

Chimaira-Resurrection is definitely a good album. In fact, beautiful. After years of tarnishing the band is back in shape and charge and is collecting a bit 'well-deserved acclaim. Nothing to say, know how to do their job.

Darkest Hour - I have to confirm the impression I had years ago ... live is a war machine and jaw-dropping, while a bit lost disk 'in freshness. The band goes through a slight stalled ... have the means to overcome it. It is to be optimistic, however.

Evergreen Terrace- I vote in favor of Evergreen Terrace! Many people complain that technically are not the Iron Maiden, but who cares, what they do know how to do well. Wolfbiker, in my view, is one of the best albums of the year.

Every Time I Die- okay, I'll be honest ... not my favorite band, but I respect them. They have a musical style that is different and have a pleasant attitude cazzeggiano ... definitely on the rise.

Haste The Day - uh ... are pimps. Several ruffians. Calculated their album really, there is also saying that they are collecting the sow, that is not too astonishing fame, nor too low.

Machine Head-The Blackening marks an important milestone for the band. I'm really back in anger, and arrogance like never before. This has always involved large awards and tour more important. If they're practically on the throne of the metal is because they have the balls ...

Maroon- the album shows a little step back ... put them to the test should be live very soon we will have the opportunity and we place a good confidence in this bunch of tedesconi!

Parkway Drive- without venturing too, without raising a fuss have placed an honest and effective album and their reputation has grown considerably. They'll be back soon with a heavyweight like Bury Your Dead. In the meantime, they can thank their guru Adam D of KSE ...

Shadows Fall-uh ... that is, is not that we have cagati time, despite the new album ... we're sorry, but respect is not without certain. The exhibition confirms Milan: charging, grit and substance.

Still Remains- was reasonable to expect more volume II. Let's be clear, we are not faced with a total crap, but they are actually the average of 6 students, maximum 6.5 and no more. For now things are going well, but sooner or later they will make the effort to rise above the average.

Throwdown- less hardcore and more groove metal ... for our joy! Huge step forward for the band to OC than at home is growing exponentially As a follow ... and if under the ashes of Pantera very birth the rightful heir??

Now we turn to those that are the band will return with new album in 2008 ...

Bleeding Through- we eagerly awaited. Their next album is the true test if you place another album brutal and violent as the previous ones will be done and will be something like: out of balls, arrive Bleeding Through! The foundations are all there because they are working with Devin Townsend.

Bullet For My Valentine- Scream, Aim, Fire could make havoc in commercial terms and could lead the Welsh band to a harder sound and robust. There really is great expectation after the highly successful The Poison ... 90% will be the phenomenon of 2008.

Metallica-2008 should be a good year for the return of Hefield and associates. As usual, much talk about the new album, many statements, many predictions ... do?? Dispense cautious optimism or are preparing to give last rites to the former undisputed kings of thrash metal?? We'll see ...

Protest The Hero- here, they could be the loose cannon of 2008. They have balls, resources and ideas to get wide and the taste of new album is very promising. If you learn to discipline their creative enthusiasm, these funny Canadians they will end up very high.

Trivium- the demo is ready and then 2008 will see the return of young metalheads in Orlando ... but, by the way, when ever you have retired for a break?? As they would say: Trivium always come back.

I guess that's all ... I still do a Christmas card and give you good-bye to 2008.

Rock on!

Remembering Dime ...

I know, this update Swiss does not arrive on time, but I hope it is still acceptable.
not know if it happened to you, but this year I personally felt a huge lack of Pantera for a number of reasons: it will be the fault of the new chapter of Phil Anselmo of Down, for the new project will be Vinnie Paul Abbott Hellyeah with her or because one of the albums that we liked most was to die Throwdown that oozes style from every pore band Texas.

Morale, I would pay astronomical sums to hear a new album from Pantera, but will never be possible because the December 8, 2004 tragedy has broken the spell, not to mention the very serious differences between the Abbott brothers and Anselmo Phil, recently confirmed and further magnified by the wife of Dime.
What we can do is remember Dime and for those who play guitar, trying to steal his secrets and his immense technique.

With timing exceptional Carlo Lucarelli, the leading Italian crime writer, Sunday, 11, on his radio show on Radio Deejay has ample space to the death of Dime and I advise you to stream the episode at this address:

RIP DIMEBAG DARRELL ...

News on the fly:
new song for Protest The Hero on their MySpace and the first months of the new year also comes the new album.
The talented and acculturatissimi Nodes Of Ranvier broke up ... a shame.
Misery Index I will be working in the studio with Strapping Young Lad Devin.

Easton Vs Bauer Gloves

+ Atreyu Still Remains LIVE

It took about a year and a half to review the five Orange County in our region. This time has been invested by the band to change the label and make a new album by some exalted and vilified by others in no uncertain terms.
Overall Atreyu's new album has left us satisfied in half, but this was by no means dented the esteem and affection we have for this band that we listen to for many years.
Adding to the interest of the evening was also the rest of the cast, namely the Americans and Swedes Still Remains Engel.
The first are well known because of their compelling debut and their second album swings, while the latter was intrigued to hear us because of the sound away from the fees that metalcore can offer.
Unfortunately we learned that the Swedish band would not be performed due to problems of sound waves goodbye ... and metal / industrial!
So, we jump straight to Still Remains whose task is to heat the room (still half-empty to be honest ...) for the headliners.
From the point of view of the ladder can not be denied them anything: fish wisely the best of Of Love and Lunacy The Serpent and the last. As a result, kids crowded below the stage may begin to warm up your voice with songs like The Worst Is Yet To Come, White Walls, The Wax Walls Of An Empty Room, Stay Captive the new single and dance-metalcore Dancing With The Enemy . The band plays the homework without smudging, shows caring toward the audience and eventually assume an attitude much less poser than I expected.
Too bad the public response is very weak ... in the end, the Still Remains have set fire to the room, but offered a decent performance that could pull in some more applause.
After forty minutes of the show ends and we all dive into the soundcheck before the Atreyu with a background of Madonna and Blondie (and here is surely the hand of Dan Jacobs and his "vague" obsession for years 80 :-)).
When the lights fall on my state of excitement rises dramatically because the Atreyu have one of the most powerful attacks in circulation between the intro to blows Fat Bottomed Girls by Queen and Bleeding Mascara devastating are already happy.
Here they are ours: with Brandon, more and more Big Belly, on drums, Dan, more and more nano, with its ESP with splashes of blood, Marc, orphaned of his red beard mileage, Travis, increasingly composed absurd and a shirt that read: I Love Gymnastic, Alex, and finally, more and more gym, ready to hop like a boxer with the tattoos and the most spectacular scene.
The registry change now than the previous show: more stage presence, charisma and above all, more than the public into a frenzy (now the Rainbow of Milan is full).
Atreyu know take the stage and entertain as they can draw from a wide repertoire that the crowd seems to know perfectly, and then choose a schedule that provides songs to about 50% taken from the new album and the rest from their previous jobs.
The selection of songs taken from the last work was excellent, including the singolone Becoming The Bull, Doomsday, Lose It, When Two Become One (which has a live shot crazy) and Blow (which dick has an attitude that brings to life the hair metal 80's for a few minutes).
Atreyu-being related to the first version, it is obvious that on tracks like The Crimson and Right Side Of The Bed learned from the spectacular The Curse we split the girls as hypersensitive.
Everything goes well and the band has fun on stage, each playing its role tested: Alex screams to the audience, Dan pours solos, Marc wiggles and spins down everywhere, Brandan shows that has excellent voice Travis says his role and more formal. The five ferry vessel without losing their intensity and lead the public to the legendary exploits final Lip Gloss And Black . The I heard this song a million times, yet each time is spectacular and gives me a shiver behind my back and I think it's worth for others present at the Rainbow shouting with all their breath was the epic chorus: live! love! burn! die!
The lights are dimmed, the background music starts again and everything is unfortunately over.
If nothing else ... I have a certainty after the concert Bleeding Through this was the best of 2007.

INTERVIEW WITH ALEX Varkatzas

When I can refute a silly cliche we really enjoy. For years I read magazines that Alex has a bad temper, which refuses to be interviewed, etc. etc. ... all lies! After
few minutes after the conclusion of the live is just a few meters from the tour bus and is allowed to requests from fans.
What better occasion to give him a few questions on the new album?

The thing that obviously affects more of the new album is the fact that you do not scream anymore. You had to take singing lessons?
Alex: Yes, I had to take someone to learn to sing in a melody. More than anything else I needed to learn to do vocal exercises to train my voice. A teacher taught me some tricks and now I always go on tour with a cassette with all the vocals to do before a live.
Now that song so melodic you too, do you think Brandon will focus more on the battery?
I do not think. For years now we play and we found our balance. Marc Brandon and I sing and it helps us with the choirs. That's fine.
Another thing you will notice the new album is the change log in the themes of the texts: the texts you have left loads of anger for something more focused on life experiences or socio-political themes.
At the end I do this "job" since I was 14, it was time to change. For this album we used a scheme of work fully different because we have written out an acoustic version. We sat there, tearing away the music and therefore I intervened with the lyrics. I think it was an excellent solution for us.
You worked with a producer that has little to do with the metal, as it was?
Actually John has a metal band that does a kind similar to Metallica. He knows how to play a band is always very active in the work. Do you know Council is very proactive and then, you did a really great bunch (laughs). I think we feel that the work of production and mixing is much better than the previous album.
Your fishing lineup largely from the new album: it went really proud!
Honestly, yes. Reflects the Atreyu now and we are satisfied with the work done. Then, beyond all this is the proper tour in support of new album in the U.S. with the Haste The Day at the Family Values That alone had a different lineup.
A curiosity ... the English version of Lead Sails Paper Anchor is a cover of Faith No More, a band that has ever experienced and very daring: turn on your sound radical, you want to be Faith No More of 2000?
addition to that there is Clean Sheets also of Descendends ... in any case we choose the cover according to the goodness of the band and nothing else. We do not want comparisons. We are Atreyu and there with this.

I wished him a thousand other questions, but then it was literally plated by other fans and then we focused on Brandon and Marc (visit his website: http://anempireoffilth.com/thepalehorse/ ) just as nice and helpful.

Lakewood Equestrian Center

Interview with Matt Heafy

In two days the Black Crusade Tour will visit the Alcatraz in Milan and we went to fish this interview appeared in Kerrang! the leader of Trivium, Matt Heafy.

What was the last album you bought?
Matt Heafy: That of Atreyu. I like it a lot. I've had a few days, but I've already heard a lot of times. I never get tired of hearing. We have done together the last Family Values and I became good friends with some of them and then it seemed right to buy their album.

What was the last thing that really made you laugh?
The film Blades Of Glory (a play on the rink ed.) I know that many people tell me that sucks, but I laugh a lot and. Then he reminds me of Will Ferrell Corey (Beaulieu, guitarist of Trivium).

When was the last time you cried?
I do not remember just when I happened to start crying in earnest. What I can remember, and I'm sure that'll look quite a nerd, I started crying on the end of the film Final Fantasy VII: It is really beautiful and there are moments that move me. I grew up with video games and then the saga reminds me of the moments of my youth. I even made my left arm tattooed with the themes of this saga and has really hurt.

When was the last time you did something really nice for someone?
I hope every day. I recently got a new guitar to a friend who has a few small handicap. He is a fantastic musician and was a bit 'down in the dumps and then I got this guitar.

When was the last time you threw up?
I think it's been a while 'time. Certainly one of the first tour of Trivium when drunk with Jagermeister and orange juice and then really nasty side effects occurred.

When was the last time you're angry?
Surely one of the last tour when I realized that the tour bus was dirty and messed up. Normally everything is in order, but when it happens to be created mess, then I pissed. I'm a maniac order.

When was the last time you went on vacation?
Before Family Values I went to the Bahamas with my girlfriend and her parents. I've seen beautiful places, crystal clear waters, snorkelling I've done, I went by boat, I ate and drank a lot of tropical drinks. If you happen to, go there, is the most beautiful place I've ever seen.

What 's the thing you want to do before you die?
I do not know exactly. Of course, if I were to go today, I would certainly have lived life to the fullest and no regrets behind.

I remind you that the Black Crusade was cast in the following bands:

ARCH ENEMY

Dragonforce

MACHINE HEAD

SHADOWS FALL

TRIVUM
