Throwdown-Venom And Tears
fifth album in a few years for this reality more solid from Orange County. The Throwdown have increasingly turned the corner directing its full-bodied sound to a groove metal, hardcore partially abandoning its roots. Curious thing, if you like, because the previous Vendetta, markedly hardcore was defined as one of the best modern metal albums and then we might as well face the turning point!
Given that Venom and Tears sounds very metal, now there is not secondary to clarify something: it sounds like an album to large tracts of Pantera, Dave Peters does not do anything not to sing like Phil Anselmo. In detail
album we note the introductory Holy Roller more thrash with a vein and a nice groove and at the same time also Day Of The Dog intriguing to be a successful mix between Pantera and Marilyn Manson.
The legacy emerges in the attack of hardcore SCUM , then return to the path of metal which was mentioned above. Removed American that sounds much more like a song by Metallica, then the various Hellbent On War or the title track recall the glorious past of the Texas band of the late Dimebag Darrell and his brother.
The hour of listening to this album should be ending with the successful and powerful I, Suicide and slower with excellent Godspeed riffs and if you want thanks to I-Tunes you can also add Propaganda Burial of the track list.
Surely this album leaves room for discussions and position statements for or against the choice of Throwdown, and we, as usual, We follow the philosophy that says something like: I liked the various Cowboys from Hell and Vulgar Display Of Power ? Well, try to give a chance even at the Throwdown Venom And Tears. Enjoy!
